CyberZone To Franchise Its CyberZone Cafes
|
SAN DIEGO -- What stockholder wouldn't like to see his shares triple in value in a single day? Mind you, when it's a penny stock, it doesn't take many pennies to dramatically ratchet up the percentage. Still, a nearly 200 percent gain catches one's eye. Such is the case with CyberZone Inc., trading on the Pink Sheets, which announced a deal to franchise its CyberBrew Net Cafes. The company, whose shares began trading publicly in June, currently operates nearly a dozen CyberBrew cafes and PC gaming centers in the greater San Diego area. The cafes serve brewed coffee, espresso, ice drinks and fruit smoothies as well as bakery items. Each cafe has a minimum of 15 computers as well as Wi-Fi wireless Internet access. The company believes the quick turnaround of revenues at each CyberBrew store makes franchising the most efficient means of expansion. The deal with veteran franchisor Phillip Morgan will "facilitate and accelerate the growth," the company said. Morgan sold more than 50 Caravel Ice Cream franchises last year, he said. The Caravel operation offers soft-serve and hand-dipped ice cream as well as its signature ice cream cakes. With a uniform appearance and the quick cash-flow possibilities that CyberBrew cafes offer new franchisees, "we believe we can sell five to 10 franchises per month," Morgan said. "These numbers are very attainable within this market sector." CyberZone shares (OTC: CBZJ.PK) gained 39 cents, or 195 percent, to close at 59 cents today in active trading. The stock had fallen from $1.20 a share last year. Source:sandiego.com |
