Key Changes In the Computer Renaissance Company

Hollis Technologies LLC, announced two key changes in the Computer Renaissance subsidiary. Mark C. Hollis, former COO, President and Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Publix Super Markets Inc., has become Chairman of the Advisory Board. Additionally, Matt Kelton, President of Computer Renaissance has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. Mark Hollis, has over fifty years of retail food industry experience with Publix Super Markets, one of the nations' top ten supermarket chains, with over 700 stores and $15.3 billion in annual sales. The company has been named one of Fortune's ? Best Companies to Work For in America" for five consecutive years. In making this announcement, Jack M. Hollis, Chairman & CEO of Hollis Technologies, commented, "I believe that his excellent track record in the food industry will transfer over into our world of computers. He will advise our top management on overall business issues and we will utilize his expertise to assist our franchisees in becoming successful merchants in this highly competitive world." Mark has served on the board of directors of the Food Marketing Institute, Stetson University, SunTrust of Florida, Bell South Telecommunications, Sykes Corporation, Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Goodwill Industries and the Council of 100. The senior Hollis commented that he was "excited, and honored, to be able to join the management team in this new relationship and looks forward to helping Matt take Computer Renaissance to the next level." Jack Hollis also announced Matt Kelton, President, has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer. "Matt will continue as President of Computer Renaissance, now being responsible for the entire operations of our Franchise system," Hollis added. Before joining Computer Renaissance, Kelton was Vice-President of Purchasing and Supplier Relations for Rstar Networks, Inc. (a division of Gilat Satellite Systems) where he closed over $200MM in vendor alliance programs. Prior to this, Kelton was Senior Director of Supplier Relations at CompuCom Systems, a $2.5 billion computer reseller/services organization. Kelton stated that he "was delighted to have both Mark and Jack on the Advisory Board, solidifying everybody's long term dedication to the success of this concept." Mark Hollis will be advising Jack Hollis, Kelton and Terry Borglund, Chief Financial Officer, on retail business strategy and giving counsel on the strategies necessary to become a dominant player in the computer industry. Hollis Technologies LLC purchased Computer Renaissance in August of 2000 from Grow Biz, International (Winmark) with the express purpose of rebuilding the brand. Originally founded in 1988 on the basis of buying and selling used PC products to business clients, today Computer Renaissance thrives in a technology-driven society with three distinct offerings: used/refurbished computer products; component parts for the do-it yourself; and in-store & on-site service.
