Moe's gets online order, payment capabilities
|
Customers of Moe's Southwest Grill in late January will be able to order and pay for take-out orders and catering on the chain's Web site, www.moes.com, through a service provided by Kudzu Interactive of Atlanta. "Catering and to-go orders continue to be a growing segment of our business," said Martin Sprock, founder and chief of Atlanta-based Moe's, a chain that has one company unit and about 170 franchised restaurants in numerous states. Kudzu's interactive menu "will not only help us to better manage the [online] orders internally; it will no doubt give us top of mind access to our customers," he added. Kudzu sources said the company's eToGo4POS interactive menu tool, which is expected to be live throughout the Moe's system by month's end, is integrated with the chain's point-of-sale system. Because the system recognizes a returning guest, customers find it easier to use and more accurate than telephoned and faxed orders, they said. The technology also issues consumers periodic e-mail reminders about the chain's take-out program. |
