Global Business Services, Inc.'s subsidiary, Postal Connections of America, announced today that Eric Hutchins has been awarded the area franchise for the six Chicago-area counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will.
Mr. Hutchins is a prior owner of DER Travel Services Corp., Rosemont, Ill.
Postal Connections has 60 locations sold or open in 17 states. Hutchins will develop the Chicago area, with its 7.2 million population, adding franchise stores and supporting operations. Currently, there is one Postal Connections store near Midway Airport. In 2003, Postal Connections of America achieved a record number of new store openings, increasing its franchise network of stores by 64%, and had a record 233% jump in franchise unit sales. The Chicago-area franchise is the sixth sold during 2003, with a total of seven area franchises in as many states.
