On-site computer-services provider Geeks On Call has been granted the designation of “Gold Certified Partner” by Microsoft. This partnership is an acknowledgement of the technological expertise and outstanding customer-service skills demonstrated by the Geeks On Call corporate headquarters and by its independently owned and operated franchises across America. Microsoft established its Partner Program to reward and support companies that create, sell, or service Microsoft products. The program has three levels of membership, each of which reflect an increasing amount of technical skills. According to Microsoft, “Gold Certified Partners demonstrate the highest degree of competence in working with Microsoft technologies.” For a company to become a Gold Certified Partner, it must collect a specific amount of “Partner Points” by accomplishing objectives that have been assigned point values. Geeks On Call acquired its Partner Points by submitting references from satisfied customers, qualifying for Microsoft competencies in networking infrastructure solutions and advanced infrastructure solutions, and earning the additional title of “Microsoft Small Business Specialist.” Receiving the latter was of particular importance to Geeks On Call because it confirms the ability of the Geek technicians to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
