Buffalos Southwest Cafe Franchise Stampedes into Lonestar State

HOUSTON, - On Monday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m., Buffalo's Southwest Cafe will open the doors of its first Texas restaurant, located in the Houston community of Cy-Fair. Located at 12020 FM 1960 West, Suite 1000, this is the first of two restaurants opening in Houston this year. The Cy-Fair unit is owned by local residents Jornell and Geraldine Aveledo of Buffalo's Southwest Cafe of Cy-Fair LP. The 4,900-square-foot establishment will seat up to 130 people in the dining room, with room for 75 more in the bar/cantina area and 50 on the outdoor patio. Hours will be 11 a.m.-11p.m, Sunday-Thursday, and 11a.m.-midnight, Friday and Saturday. For busy folks on the run, the restaurant will provide carry-out service and has future plans to cater to groups. It will also accommodate large groups for meetings. On Sundays, kids can eat free and, on Tuesdays, diners will enjoy $.35 wings. During the week of Feb. 14, the restaurant had pledged 5 percent of its sales to Hope Shelter Inc., which provides shelter and a caring environment for 20 homeless boys in the area. The restaurant will accept additional donations for Hope Shelter during a special VIP party on Saturday, Feb. 12. Buffalo's Southwest Cafe offers an award-winning menu highlighted by its world-famous Buffalo-style chicken wings. These wings are prepared to perfection with one of the proprietary wing sauces and served with a rich, homemade bleu cheese or ranch dip. Other favorites include a variety of delicious Southwest-inspired appetizers and entrees. The menu features soups, bountiful salads, tempting wraps, fajitas, pastas, mouthwatering burgers, steaks, seafood and delectable desserts. Prices start around $2.59 for soups, $4.99 for appetizers, and range from $5.99 to $15.99 for entrees.
