Buffalo's Southwest Cafe Franchise is deepening its Georgia roots. The popular Buffalos franchise restaurant chain has opened its doors in Hiram, Ga. MARIETTA, Ga., Sept. 8, 2004 -- Buffalo's Southwest Cafe is deepening its Georgia roots. The popular restaurant chain has opened its doors in Hiram, Ga., marking the company's 30th restaurant in the state. The restaurant is located on Highway 278, next to Kohl's department store and The Home Depot. The Hiram location is the second for franchise business partners, Ben Kellner and Law Bayliss of Southern Hospitality Concepts Inc. Working together for approximately 15 years, Kellner and Bayliss are owners of the Acworth, Ga., Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurant, located at 3345 Cobb Parkway, Number 800. The Acworth restaurant has been successful since opening, and Kellner believes Hiram, with its rapid development, also has strong potential. "Hiram has exploded over the past year. We believe it will be another strong market for Buffalo's Southwest Cafe," Kellner said. Kellner anticipates drawing customers from Hiram, Powder Springs, West Cobb County and the Highway 278 area. The restaurant seats approximately 200 people and can accommodate groups of up to 40. It employs about 100 people. "BFCI has done a great job over the years establishing a concept that appeals to families. It's this focus that drew us to the concept three years ago and why we've decided to continue growing with the company," Kellner explained. Actively involved with local charities in Acworth, Kellner and Bayliss anticipate continuing this role in Hiram by partnering with the local elementary schools and the high school. "Ben and Law have been strong additions to our group of franchise business partners, helping our company and brand to grow," said Ralph Perrella, BFCI co-founder and president. Kellner and Bayliss plan to continue their "buffalo boom" with a third Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurant within two years. About Buffalo's Southwest Cafe: Each restaurant helps tell the story of the Old Southwest while providing a unique dining experience. With wooden floors and distressed metal ceilings, the restaurants also feature antiques, artifacts, western memorabilia and hundreds of period photographs lining rustic wooden walls. High-back booths, the primary seating, each sport a different theme such as gunslingers, outlaw posters, Indians, lawmen and railroads. |
