Buffalos Southwest Cafe Revs Up For Rally For Wishes

Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurant Franchise Opportunities Road Rally to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida. MARIETTA, Ga., Sept. 16, 2004 - This Saturday, Sept. 18, Buffalo's Southwest Cafe of Jacksonville, Fla., is sponsoring the first annual "Road Rally for Wishes," benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon. The ride concludes at 4 p.m. Registration is $15 per rider and includes a Road Rally t-shirt. Passengers can register for $10. Plenty of fun is planned along the way, as bikers will be making stops throughout Jacksonville culminating at Buffalo's Southwest Cafe. During the stops, contestants will enjoy games such as 50-50 and raffles with opportunities to win exciting prizes. According to Chris Perrella, owner of Buffalo's Southwest Cafe in Jacksonville, "With our popular Wednesday ‘Biker's Night,' we see this as a great opportunity to provide both an exciting afternoon for our customers and make a ‘wish' come true for a child in Jacksonville." This is not the first time Buffalo's has partnered with Make-A-Wish. The company works with Make-A-Wish in its "Stories of Light" campaign each holiday season. Based in Marietta, Ga., Buffalo's Franchise Concepts was founded in 1985 and has approximately 45 restaurants in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico and Kuwait. The company has new units slated for construction in Arkansas, Nevada, North Carolina and Texas. Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurants offer an award-winning menu that includes its world-famous Buffalo-style chicken wings in several taste varieties. Other favorites -- all cooked-to-order -- include steaks, ribs, fajitas, chili, quesadillas, wraps, burgers and a variety of appetizers. The menu also has homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The restaurants are currently featuring the fall menu "Moondance Specials," a new promotion that includes such specialties as "Honey Garlic Wings," "Blackened Shrimp and Penne Pasta," "Smokehouse Riblets" and "Navajo Chop." Each restaurant helps tell the story of the Old Southwest while providing a unique dining experience. With wooden floors and distressed metal ceilings, the restaurants also feature antiques, artifacts, western memorabilia and hundreds of period photographs lining rustic wooden walls. High-back booths, the primary seating, each sport a different theme such as gunslingers, outlaw posters, Indians, lawmen and railroads.
