MARIETTA, Ga., Oct. 10, 2003 - As temperatures start to drop, Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurants offers three new hearty entrees as part of its new "Moondance Specials." Available at all 50 Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurants starting in October, Moondance features: Carne Caprino - A juicy, 12-ounce, flame-broiled sirloin, cut into medallions and topped with Caprino cheese crumbles and a sun-dried tomato demi-glace. Served on a sizzling skillet atop a mound of sautéed diced potatoes and steamed mixed vegetables, then garnished with green onions. This dish is priced at $14.99 Penne Diablo - A devilish blend of sun-dried tomatoes, fire roasted corn, black beans, tomatoes and a touch of spicy southwest seasonings tossed with penne pasta and topped with Parmesan cheese and herbs for $6.99, or $8.99 with grilled chicken. Torñado Del Mar - A tender haddock fillet stuffed with fresh crab, roasted corn, black beans, bell peppers and a touch of southwestern seasonings. The fillet is wrapped in a flour tortilla, fried to a golden brown and cut into medallions. Topped with a Cilantro-Lime Crema Sauce and served over a bed of Mexican rice with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo and sour cream for $11.99 Death Valley Habañero Wings - Marinated with Buffalo's new "Death Valley" sauce, a blend of habañero, cayenne and black peppers with the company's wing sauce, this fiery concoction is not for the weak of heart. Prices ranging from $6.29 for a small order of 10 wings to $44.99 for a "mile high" order of 100 wings. Available through early 2004, Moondance Specials will receive marketing support through menu inserts at all restaurants, 30 outdoor posterboards throughout the metro-Atlanta area and television advertising spots in select markets. Buffalo's Southwest Cafe offers an award-winning menu that includes its world-famous Buffalo-style chicken wings in several taste varieties. Other favorites -- all cooked-to-order -- include steaks, ribs, fajitas, chili, quesadillas, wraps, burgers and a variety of appetizers. The menu also has homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. Each restaurant helps tell the story of the Old Southwest while providing a unique dining experience. With wooden floors and distressed metal ceilings, the restaurants also feature antiques, artifacts, western memorabilia and hundreds of period photographs lining rustic wooden walls. High-back booths, the primary seating, each sport a different theme such as gunslingers, outlaw posters, Indians, lawmen and railroads. Founded in 1985, Buffalo's Southwest Cafe has approximately 50 restaurants in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Ohio, with new units under construction.
