The HouseMaster® office servicing Central Georgia is under new management, announced Kathleen Kuhn, president and CEO of the company, which is the oldest and most experienced name in home inspection franchise systems. The new area-director, Jim O’Neil, says, “I’m so pleased to be a part of the HouseMaster family. Our office continues to enjoy a great reception from our home buying and home selling customers, as well as real estate professionals in the area.” O’Neil’s office, serves 22 counties in Central Georgia, and includes territories surrounding Athens, Macon, and Milledgeville. In addition to offering standard home inspections, O’Neil’s office offers radon and water testing (coli form), and inspections of septic systems, seawalls, docks, pools, termites, irrigation systems, and detached buildings. The home inspection industry has been steadily growing in Central Georgia, as home prices have soared over the years and educated buyers look for a thorough examination of the components of a house before signing on the dotted line. Since a comprehensive home inspection is often the single most important step a buyer makes before completing the purchase of a new home, “having a home inspected by a qualified professional from a reputable company is the best and smartest way to make a real estate investment,” says O’Neil. Prior to joining HouseMaster O’Neil was with U.S. Profiles, Inc., a steel supply business that provides steel for specialized applications, and also worked in home renovations in Central Atlanta for a number of years. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Massachusetts. An avid sportsman, O’Neil co-founded a large youth soccer league in Marietta (East Cobb Soccer League), and enjoys international sailing and golf. In addition to HouseMaster training, O’Neil has also completed training with the National Institute of Building Inspectors® (NIBI), which is known for its rigorous certification program and is the only program which requires members to re-test annually and maintain malpractice insurance, also known as Errors and Omissions Insurance. |
