The overall success of a franchise is only as great as its franchisees and Maid Brigade has many of them to thank, which they recently did at their 16th Annual Franchisee Convention. With awards ranging from service and sales to customer retention and employee recognition, Maid Brigade honored the best-of-the-best acknowledging a host of achievements. Maid Brigade top honors for 2006 were awarded to: “2006 was a banner year for Maid Brigade and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and dedication of our franchisees and their staff,” explained Howard Purdy, vice president of operations. “Our annual awards ceremony is a convention highlight and this year was no exception.” The Franchisee of the Year was awarded to Mary Ellen Hoffman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. “Mary Ellen’s ‘never say never, can-do’ attitude is contagious and she is always available to lend a hand and offer advice to prospective and new franchisees. As a support group consultant and member of the Franchise Advisory Council and Task Force, her tireless efforts on behalf of Maid Brigade are certainly noticed. She has been extremely successful, having grown leaps and bounds each year since she first opened her doors,” Purdy continued. “We are honored to have Mary Ellen a part of the Maid Brigade team and are thrilled to be able to present her with this award.”
Manager of the Year accolades went to Greg Nicklas from Lisa Saxton’s office. Franchise owners from around the country nominated those people from their management team that have helped them tremendously to build their business. In many cases these people are the right hand, and eyes and ears for the owner. Their work and dedication to Maid Brigade is greatly appreciated and Greg stands at the top,” Purdy continued. Cesario Vega took home the Field Employee of the Year award. Nominated by Rachel Epperly, Cesario thrives in an environment dominated by women. He is respectful, helpful and kind at all times. And has earned the respect of his clients, peers and office staff. “We all know that the people we have in the field, cleaning every single day, are the ones who have been instrumental in helping build the business. I hope franchisees will never forget how important these folks are and to make sure that they are rewarded for their hard work and dedication to Maid Brigade. We are delighted that Cesario received this honor,” Purdy explained. Rounding out the top awards for 2006 was recipient Lisa Saxton who was Maid Brigade’s Top Gun. The Top Gun is one of the many success stories of Maid Brigade. Purdy explained, “They may not have the highest sales but they run a model operation and have demonstrated the ability to do well in all areas of Maid Brigade including conversions, sales growth, profit margin, employee turnover and company participation. Lisa personifies this to a tee. “These people are just the tip of the iceberg here at Maid Brigade. There are so many others that we didn’t get a chance to thank publicly. However, their efforts are not forgotten. We are a family and each and every member of the Maid Brigade family should be proud of the work they do. I know we are,” Purdy concluded. Providing professional home cleaning with a focus on “Customers For Life,” Maid Brigade is “The Franchise Choice of Smart Business People for Over 20 Years!” There are over 400 Maid Brigade housecleaning franchise locations currently servicing the needs of their busy clients. The demand for professional maid service is high, and there are territories available to qualified candidates that are interested in owning a Maid Brigade business. |
