Tutor Time Receives Award, Recognition for Fair Franchising Practices

Earlier this month, Tutor Time Learning Centers, LLC, a subsidiary of Learning Care Group, Inc. (LCGI), received the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers' (AAFD) prestigious Fair Franchising Seal for its newly negotiated franchise agreement.

Tutor Time executives and its independent franchisee association spent almost two years negotiating a new franchise agreement that scored more than 93 percent conformity with the AAFD's Fair Franchising Standards.

"It is very gratifying that our new franchise agreement received the highest recorded score from the AAFD, but it is even more rewarding to know that we received this award because our franchisees felt Tutor Time was worthy of the nomination," said William Davis, chief executive officer of Learning Care Group. "The AAFD seal is a great honor that recognizes the importance of collaboration between franchisors and franchisees. Tutor Time is dedicated to the growth and success of each franchisee--this partnership is designed to help each franchisee reach their greatest potential."

The Fair Franchising Seal is awarded to franchisors nominated by their own independent franchisee association or Franchise Advisory Council as having an exemplary record of franchise practices that embody equity, fairness and service to the organization. More than 85 percent of Tutor Time's current franchisees voted in favor of nominating the company.

"Tutor Time, its CEO Bill Davis and the Tutor Time Franchisee Association epitomize the quest for Total Quality Franchising," said Robert Purvin, AAFD Chairman.

Franchising has become an increasingly popular option for potential entrepreneurs in the United States, with more than 767,000 franchises providing 9.8 million jobs and generating a total economic output of more than $1.53 trillion. Coupled with the Company's new franchise development efforts, the company's franchise agreement has helped differentiate Tutor Time from its competitors and generate greater interest among potential franchisees.

"As we were looking into different franchise opportunities, Tutor Time stood apart from the rest," said Paul La Fata, a recently signed Tutor Time franchisee. "The fair franchise agreement was definitely a factor in our decision. We also valued the clear explanation of requirements and expectations for our new center. The support provided by Tutor Time throughout the process exceeded my expectations."

Currently, a United States-based Tutor Time franchise center that has been open for more than 18 months generates average revenue in excess of $1 million. In the past calendar year, 15 Tutor Time centers averaged between $1.5 million and $1.99 million, and, for the first time, one school recorded revenue above $2 million.

"Over the past few years, we have built the infrastructure necessary to provide unparalleled support to our franchisees," said Davis. "Through our combined efforts, we will continue to strengthen our franchise system and provide new growth opportunities for all franchisees."
