A growing demand for long- and short-term employees as well as the expanding economy helped Express Services, Inc. to grow company sales, resulting in a 22 percent increase in companywide sales for 2005. Yearly sales totaled $1.55 billion, with the company experiencing significant growth in several areas. Express opened 63 new franchise locations in 2005, with several new offices in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. More than 325,000 people were put to work. The goal for 2006 is to open 96 more locations and to increase company sales to $1.86 billion. The most significant growth factor continues to be the increasing need for workers. “Because companies are growing and expanding their services, there is a larger need for qualified and competent employees,” said Robert A. Funk, founder and chairman of Express Services, Inc. “Because of this, businesses are using staffing companies to get the help they need to meet their increasing workforce needs.” With 31 locations statewide and 525 offices internationally, Oklahoma City-based Express Services’ client base extends through four countries and employs 325,000 people annually. Express provides expertise in temporary staffing/evaluation and direct hire; contract and executive recruiting and placement; and customized human resource services. |
