Friendly's Restaurants celebrates the opening of a new franchised restaurant in Hampton Bays, New York located at 149 West Montauk Highway. The restaurant opened on Friday, April 28, 2006 The restaurant is owned and operated by J&B Restaurant Partners of Long Island, LLC – Joe Vitrano, President and CEO. Jamie Fahey, Senior Executive Director of Operations said, “This restaurant is in a great location as it is located at the gateway to the Hamptons. We look forward to serving all the residents of the area, as well as, people visiting the Hamptons on their vacations.” The ice cream heritage that has made Friendly’s a favorite for generations is reflected in the restaurant’s look. A unique historical exterior look complements the interior featuring ice-cream inspired colors, classic soda fountain counter, and warm artwork. Guests at the Hampton Bays Friendly’s can enjoy some old-time Friendly’s favorites like Big Beefsâ or Fribblesâ or try one of the new burgers - Philly Cheese Burger, Southwest BBQ Bacon Burger or the Mushroom, Cheddar & Bacon Burger. The hours of operation are 7:00 am to 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 12:00 am Friday and Saturday. The restaurant employs approximately 100 full and part-time people. Bob McClure, the General Manager of the new restaurant, has over 20 years experience in the restaurant industry, including ten with J&B Restaurant Partners of Long Island, LLC. Jim Sullivan, Vice President, Franchise and Real Estate Development, for Friendly’s Restaurants said, “Joe is a veteran restaurant operator and great franchising partner. Joe owns and, with his management team, operates over 34 successful Friendly’s restaurants on Long Island, which proves he knows how to satisfy the guests that visit his restaurants.
