Page 1 of 2 In direct response to the rapidly growing field of Allied Health throughout the country, Lloyd Healthcare Staffing has announced an expansion of its existing healthcare employment services to include a new occupational component dedicated to the Allied Health TRAVEL professional.The division, based out of Lloyd’s Tampa offices, will expand upon Lloyd Staffing’s overall travel offerings nationwide to address the major upsurge in staffing requests within the healthcare industry for travelers nationwide. Lloyd Healthcare Staffing focusing on recruiting Rehabilitation Professionals to alleviate the current occupational shortage for Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants and Speech Language Pathologists. Licensed and credentialed individuals in these fields may qualify for contractual assignments at major healthcare facilities around the country and will spend time working and exploring cities and medical centers to gain new career or lifestyle information. According to U.S. Department of Labor, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy are among the fastest-growing fields in the nation over the next 10 years. This projection falls in conjunction with aging baby boomers that are living longer, but requiring more rehabilitative care. Before becoming a business owner in 2000, Lloyd Healthcare Staffing President, Jackie Garvin, spent 12 years in patient care as a registered nurse. Garvin comments, “As a healthcare professional myself, I understand the specific needs and requirements of the healthcare industry. In particular, hiring competent caring healthcare practitioners and maintaining appropriate staffing levels is at the heart of quality assurance issues within the industry.
