Donald Dwyer Jr. Named Vice Chair of Texas Camino Real District Export Council

Donald Dwyer Jr., director of international operations for The Dwyer Group and president and owner of Get Noticed Solutions by Worldwide Supply, both based in Waco, has been named the vice chair of the Texas Camino Real District Export Council (DEC). One of four DECs in the state, the Texas Camino Real District Export Council brings together leaders from the local business community whose knowledge and international business experience provides a source of professional advice to local firms.

“I’m extremely honored by the appointment and the assistance that I can offer along with other area leaders to promote and support the growing interest of local companies seeking to do business beyond our borders,” Dwyer Jr. said.

For 30 years, DECs have served the United States by assisting companies in their local communities export, thus promoting economic growth and creating new and higher-paying jobs at home. Closely affiliated with the Commerce Department's U.S. Export Assistance Centers, a total of 58 DECs combine the energies of nearly 1,500 exporters and export service providers who support the U.S. Government's export promotion efforts throughout the country.

“Don has been an important participating member to our Texas Camino Real Export Council and a supporter of the Austin U.S. Export Assistance Center of the U.S. Department of Commerce for many years,” said Karen Parker, director of the Austin U.S. Export Assistance Center. “We are extremely pleased that he has accepted the Vice Chair position and feel that his experience and leadership as an exporter in the franchise service industry will provide small and medium size companies in Central Texas a new dimension of expertise and outreach.”

Dwyer Jr. brings a wealth of foreign business relations experience to the organization, having served in an international post with The Dwyer Group, which has more than 1,300 franchise locations in 21 countries, since 1994. His company Get Noticed Solutions also offers corporate apparel and promotional products to businesses across the globe. Dwyer Jr. is a graduate of the professional management program at Harvard Business School, a frequent speaker on international franchising to area and national organizations, and a member of the International Affairs Committee and Trade Mission Task Force for the International Franchise Association.
