400th U.S. FASTSIGNS® Sign and Graphics Center Opens in Bloomington, Illinois

BLOOMINGTON, Ill., April 18, 2005 — The 400th FASTSIGNS® sign and graphics center in the United States was opened this week in Bloomington, Ill., said FASTSIGNS International, Inc., the worldwide franchisor of FASTSIGNS® centers. The newest FASTSIGNS® center is owned and managed by Frank Smith, who happens to also own the FASTSIGNS® center in nearby Peoria, Ill. Smith, who has owned and operated businesses in Illinois for the past 12 years, holds a master's degree in administration. "I've been very happy with the support I have received from FASTSIGNS International, Inc., since I bought the Peoria center, and with the breadth of services we can offer local businesses," said Smith. "That is what led me to open the new center in Bloomington." Twenty years after the first FASTSIGNS® center opened and 18 years after its first franchise was sold, FASTSIGNS International, Inc., today has more than 460 centers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Australia (centers in Australia operate under the name, SIGNWAVE®). FASTSIGNS® centers worldwide focus on meeting the sign and graphic needs of business customers. "Over the past two decades, we've grown by adopting new technologies such as digital full color equipment, recruiting franchisees who share our vision, and committing resources to support and train franchisees and their employees," said Gary Salomon, FASTSIGNS International, Inc.'s co-founder and chief executive officer.
