Global Business Services, Inc.'s subsidiary, Postal Connections of America, announces adding E-Bay drop off and listing service to its franchise network in response to a recent success in test stores.
In addition, PCA will be expanding its current services by adding a crate and freight service through AIT Worldwide Logistics, Itasca, IL, which will allow customers to ship large and heavy items anywhere in the world.
Over the next month the E-Bay auction support service will be rolled out in PCA stores across the country starting in Arizona, California and Oregon. Currently, the PCA retail network consists of 70 franchisee stores open or sold in 21 states.
"We are encouraged with the initial results and strong customer response to our E-Bay access and sales service in Texas and Michigan," said Ken Sully, President of Postal Connections of America. "We always knew our neighborhood stores are a perfect place for supporting the E-Bay phenomena, as we have all the services required by customers who want the convenience of a neighborhood E-Bay Service Center and the shipping/auctioning expertise of PCA rolled into one," says Sully.
As part of PCA's promotional effort to generate awareness for the new E-Bay service now being offered, PCA stores are offering local customers a free seven-day listing on E-Bay. Customers simply drop off items they wish to have listed on E-Bay at their local PCA. Digital photos are taken, product descriptions written, and the item is listed on E-Bay for seven days at no cost to the customer. The stores also have public access computers enabling customers to sit down to review similar items and track their own auction's progress. When sold, customers are paid the proceeds minus the E-Bay listing fees and a store commission ranging up to 38% depending on the sale price. PCA stores professionally pack, ship and insure each item sent to the buyers helping to deliver a positive experience.
Additionally, Postal Connections stores across the country now offer a new crate and freight service provided by AIT Worldwide Logistics, a transportation provider. "Customers can now ship anything including furniture, computers, equipment, motorcycles, and cars through their neighborhood PCA store," says Sully. "PCA stores now also offer alternatives for shipping any item, anywhere in the world." Shipping estimates are free and a representative will go to where the customer's item is located.
