Retail explosion hits North Peoria corner
|
Business is booming on Lake Pleasant Parkway.A completed shop building at 8275 W. Lake Pleasant Parkway is set to house a Dunkin' Donuts with drive-thru, Baskin-Robbins ice cream store, Mario's Hair, a nail salon and a Hungry Howie's Pizza. Across the parking lot, a Wells Fargo Bank and Kindercare are finished, and a Mobil on the Run and other tenants are scheduled for the corner of 83rd Avenue. Jeff Harris, a retail specialist for Scottsdale-based Retail Brokers, Inc., said the 31,858-square-foot Fletcher Heights Common center at 83rd Avenue will be anchored by an Ace Hardware. A Coffee Beanery Gourmet Coffee House is also planned. The business will have outdoor seating area and a sports grill. "The project is scheduled to be delivered to the tenants by July 1," Mr. Harris said. "The tenants will likely open for business within 60-90 days after that. We are negotiating with a dentist and a dance studio as well." Another business set to move into the completed shop building is New York NY Fresh Deli, said franchise owner Karen Civille. "I decided to locate in Peoria and the Northwest Valley because I have been a resident up this way for several years and have not found a 'great' sandwich and sub place, and I think this fits the bill," she said. Menu items include gourmet and sub sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts and coffee. "I plan to start serving meals on June 7 and will have our grand opening sometime in July," Ms. Civille said. |
